Staff
FCCIOC is blessed to maintain an open office Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The church employs full time and part time staff members who handle the pastoral care, finances, administrative functions, media ministry, and custodial care of the fellowship. Each morning from 9:00 to 9:30 the staff is privileged to gather together in prayer for the members of FCCIOC and their loved ones. You may call for specific prayer or send an email request.
Elder, Ministers, and Deacons
According to the Biblical guidelines (see Exodus 18 and Matthew 9:36) for serving people more efficiently, we have created a structure for working closely with those God has entrusted to us by linking each member to his own “assigned” elder, minister, or deacon. Particularly because we must manage in a situation where the people we serve are unusually widespread for a local church body, we feel that assigning elders, ministers, and deacons over specific groups or geographic areas will assist us in meeting their pastoral needs. Our pastoral care goals are from Acts 3:44-46: better care, discipleship, communion, growth, and fellowship together (sharing meals, fellowship, Biblical teaching, and prayer).
Benevolence
FCCIOC offers assistance to members of the fellowship and citizens of the community in the form of payments towards utility bills and prescription medication. Applicants should call the church office for an appointment to fill out an application and interview with a benevolence counselor. Appointments are available most Tuesdays and Thursdays. For more information, please call the church office.
Food Bank
FCCIOC’s Food Bank was established in 1992 to help anyone (member or nonmember) who has a need for food. Our church purchases food from the Blue Ridge Food Bank in Winchester, Virginia, and receives food donations from local Giant and Food Lion stores. We also distribute U.S.D.A. foods to those who meet federal requirements. There are also local businesses and organizations that contribute food and other items to our Food Bank
Applicants for food assistance need only complete a Declaration of Income Form and submit it to our food bank volunteers. Food is selected and provided based on the size of the family. If the family has a prolonged need for food, the food bank director will work with the individual family to set up a schedule that will provide adequate food at necessary intervals to help keep the family fed until they can become self-sufficient. The food bank does not deliver food. It is open weekdays Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
